Icebreaker Cool-Lite

This was our second shoot for Icebreaker, the pioneering New Zealand merino wool clothing company: we were the US-based production team for this under-the-hood video on Cool-Lite, an incredibly spiffy product that’s a blend of merino and Tencel, a fiber made from raw eucalyptus pulp that’s not only sustainable, but has amazing moisture-management properties.

“The future is bright.” An image I took two ye “The future is bright.” An image I took two years ago for the reelection campaign of Portland Commissioner Nick Fish, who passed away yesterday after a long battle with stomach cancer. It’s a testament to Nick’s unflagging optimism about what we can accomplish if we work together that he wrote those words not two years ago, but just 48 hours before he died. . Here’s hoping – as I’d guess he would – that he wasn’t an artifact of a bygone age, but an archetype we can re-mint for our time and the unique challenges we face. Til then, we’ll have to figure out how to steady the tiller ourselves. Harvest never quite feels like it begins in a vine Harvest never quite feels like it begins in a vineyard, but instead, 60 miles up the road, here at the lonely beacon that is Biggs Junction. It’s the last chance to come to our senses, turn back and live a normal life for the next month and a half.
